WHO WE ARE
What we believe
We believe in God as the Creator of the heavens and the earth and that He reveals Himself in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all powerful), omnipresent (everywhere), and omnibenevolent (all good).
We believe in the Bible as God-breathed, complete, and inerrant, and we look to His Word as the final authority in all that we do and say.
We believe in Jesus Christ as God's only begotten Son and the Savior of those who obey Him.
We believe that man was created in God's image and can choose to follow God or to abandon Him.
We believe in Satan as a real being and the adversary of God.
We believe that sin exists in the world because of Satan and his deception of Adam and Eve. Sin seperates us from God and leads to spiritual death unless it is covered by the blood of Jesus.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Christ that leads to obedience.
We believe in heaven and hell as the final resting places for the souls of mankind. Heaven is a place of eternal comfort with God, while hell is a place of eternal torment and punishment originally prepared for the devil and his angels.
We believe that our worship must be done in "spirit and truth" with our hearts and minds directed toward the Lord and according to the pattern set forth in Scripture.
We believe that there is one church that belongs to Jesus. Each congregation of the church is led by qualified men known as elders.
We believe that one comes to Christ (becomes a Christian) by believing His Word, repenting of sins, confessing belief in Jesus as God's Son, and being baptized with the intent to keep obeying Christ.
We believe that baptism is being immersed into water as a mature individual for the remission of sins. This act symbolically brings one into contact with Jesus's blood which cleanses the soul of sin.
We believe that every man and woman can overcome the temptation of sin and follow Christ. Do you have Jesus in your life?
